Apostille Green Card

If you seek permanent residency in the United States, you may already have a green card. And if you need to apostille your green card, we are here for you.

What is a Green Card?

A green card is also called a Permanent Resident Card. It allows you to live and work permanently in the United States after the 3-5 waiting. It is issued by the USCIS, US Citizenship and Immigration Services. This means that it is not a federal-issued document, and you will go through the Secretary of State to apostille your card.

Steps to Apostille Green Card

Once you have your green card, there is one main step you will need to take. That is to have an original, color copy of it notarized. You can bring a color copy of your green card to a notary. You will then write a simple statement attesting to the fact that this is a true copy of your original card. An example is:

This is a true color copy of my green card.”

You will then print and sign the document in front of a notary. They will then notarize your signature and write a notary statement such as:

State of ___________ County of ____________

The foregoing instrument was acknowledged before me on this ______ day of 20_____

By___________________________

Personally known to me ______ OR produced identification ______

Type of identification produced______________________

____________________________________________________

My commission expires ________________________________

The notary will also stamp the signed copy. You can then send your notarized copy along with the proper paperwork and payment to the Secretary of State, and hope you have everything needed. Or you can simply let One Source Process obtain the apostille.
