When serving process there are many different situations to consider.

Routine service is a knock on the door and minor investigative work. If the defendant is expected to avoid service then we may recommend a stakeout, which is billed hourly.

Think there will be difficulty serving the defendant at their place of residence? Maybe the building they live in is secured or they have an unpredictable schedule. If so we can serve them at their place of business as well.

Service of legal documents is billed per address. In cases where the address given is incorrect or the defendant is no longer residing there we may recommend a skip trace to find their current location. You will still be billed for the attempt made.
